ABOUT ME

First off, my name is Clint Bacon. I grew up here in Lexington, KY; playing sports from the time I could walk. Baseball was my first love, but the football field is where I found that I excelled. I was a high school athlete at Paul Laurence Dunbar. That’s where I got my foundational knowledge of the weight room, but wasn’t until after college that I developed a passion for fitness & nutrition. When I graduated from Dunbar in 2012 I decided to pursue a degree in Sport Management from Western Kentucky University.

Fast forward 4-years, and I'm graduating college in 2016 45 lbs. heavier than when I enrolled (although it looked like 75 lbs.). Unhappy with the unhealthy way I had been living (basically surviving off of fast food and beer) and the result I got from that type of lifestyle, I decided to make it a goal to join a gym and pick up the weights I had set down after my competitive athletic career ended following high school. Slowly I started to see results, and instead of forcing myself off the couch to go to the gym, I started craving it as part of my daily routine.
Early in 2019, after several months of contemplating what a career in personal training & fitness coaching would look like for me, I decided that the typical 9-5p desk job wasn’t what I wanted my life to look like for the next 50-60 some years until I retired, and decided to start pursuing a career in something that I was passionate about; health and fitness.

In addition to generally helping people achieve a healthier lifestyle, when it comes to my personal athletic career I know the impact that my coaches had on me from the first time I stepped on a baseball diamond at age 4, to the last time I stepped off the football field at age 17; and if I can play a similar role in the lives of some of today's youth athletes, I believe that would be the most rewarding opportunity any one person could receive.
For a long time I have felt that it was God's calling for me to mentor young people in some capacity, but I was not sure what doors the Lord would open for me to do so. To be able to teach and coach young athletes in the weight room is my ultimate end goal, and has as much to do with why I made it here as my own personal fitness journey did.
